Online PR News – 05-October-2010 – – WALTHAM, Massachusetts - After winning awards at film festivals across the country, the feature film 'OVERLOAD' returns to Boston for a public screening on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Writer and director Robert Fritz will be on hand to introduce this intriguingly modern murder mystery, which was filmed in Boston and southern Vermont.

The screening is taking place in conjunction with the 20th annual Systems Thinking in Action Conference, where Fritz will be a featured speaker. Tickets to the movie screening are $8 in advance and $10 onsite (free for conference attendees), and are available at the Systems Thinking in Action Conference website.

According to Jon Potter of the Brattleboro Reformer, “If you like a murder mystery that engages your mind as much as it chills your spine; if romance, snappy dialogue and rich characters mean more to you than a body count; if you care about who as much as whodunnit; if you like films that probe the psyche as well as the clues; and if your taste leans closer to Alfred Hitchcock than Wes Craven, then 'OVEROAD' . . . is for you.”

D. F. Whipple of the New Hope Film Festival said, “[Fritz] shows his storytelling chops . . . in creating such a seat-of-pants, intelligent and creatively plotted thriller.”

Other film critics agree. 'OVERLOAD' has won awards at the Boston International Film Festival, Los Angeles Reel Film Festival, Honolulu Film Festival, Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood, and Los Angeles Movie Awards. At the Los Angeles Movie Awards, Fritz received dual honors for Best Original Score and Best Original Screenplay, and lead actress Katherine Partington won Best Actress for her portrayal of Kate.

“I’m delighted that 'OVERLOAD' will have another showing in Boston, and especially connected to the Systems Thinking in Action Conference, because the plot itself is a complex system of intriguing dramatic connections and relationships,” Fritz said.
