A new study has revealed the most client focussed websites amongst the top 100 UK law firms.

Legal IT provider Connectegrity reviewed the websites of the top 100 UK law firms and rated them based on usability factors such as ease of navigation, clarity of language and discoverability of information.
The stand-out websites each eschewed the traditional approach of pitching their credentials, and instead put the client at the heart of the experience.
“Most of the websites we looked at structured their content based on the practice areas of the firm,” said Connectegrity Chief Technology Officer, Mark Bower. “But clients don’t care about the internal organisation of law firms. Instead they are looking for a supplier who can help them solve their problems.”
Mr Bower continued, “The class-leading websites attempted to present information in the way that clients think, making it easy for them to map their problems onto the firm’s offerings. Unique features that helped the leaders stand out from the crowd included Google-style search, free legal advice guides, and client-centric navigation.”
