Redding. CT high-end decorative art studio Architexture Studios will be taking part in an exciting event called; "A Weekend of Design Inspiration" the weekend of October 22-24 in Old Lyme, CT.

Online PR News – 01-October-2010 – – Redding – High-end decorative artist Julie Hardridge, co-owner of Redding-based Architexture Studios is proud to announce their participation in; “A Weekend of Design Inspiration,” to be held by Interior Inspirations at the Lyme Art Association in Old Lyme, CT from October 22-24. The weekend event features some of the most in-demand interior designers and decorators in the Northeast as they transform the historic Lyme Art Academy into a gallery of nine interior vignettes. All proceeds will go to support the services and capital projects of the Child & Family Agency of Southeastern CT - the largest, private, non-profit children's service provider in southeastern Connecticut.

"Architexture Studios is delighted to be involved with this year’s Interior Inspirations,” says Julie, who works alongside her fine artist husband Starr Hardridge out of their Redding studio. “We are looking forward to the opportunity to present one of our beautiful architectural finishes in support of this very special event."

Interior Inspirations’ directives to all participants was simple; ‘Inspire friends with ideas to use in their own homes for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying those they love.’ Hardridge was invited by renowned interior decorator Victoria Vandamm of Vandamm Interiors to collaborate on Vandamm’s interior design vignette. The theme is “modern family starting the day’ and will feature Victoria’s breakfast room set-up complimented by Julie’s backdrop of panels to be installed on site.

“The theme is the juxtaposition of antique with the modern,” explains Julie, who plans an organic lime plaster finish for her work. “It is an honor to have been invited to work under the direction of such an inspirational designer as Victoria Vandamn.”

Julie and her husband are both accomplished high-end decorative artisans and artists specializing in custom architectural finishes. In May 2010 Architexture Studios was nominated as one of the top 10 decorative studios in the Northeast and one of the top four in Connecticut. Trained in France and Italy under the tutelage of some of the finest artisan-instructors in the industry, Julie and Starr’s work encompasses fine art, decorative finishes, faux finishes, and Italian plasters. Whether it’s murals, trompe l'oeil, creating marble and faux bois or fine art pieces, their combined talents allow them to create stunning artistic finishes for any home or commercial interior.
