A Connecticut high school chooses eCrisper for its Internet kiosk and digital signage project.
Online PR News – 01-October-2010 – – Digital signage and kiosks can be merged into one powerful tool for high schools and colleges. That's exactly what a school in Connecticut did. Using a Mac mini with a large touch screen display, they use eCrisper to display news and information:
- Daily activities
- Sport schedules and recent results
- Campus news
- General announcements
- Weather forecast
While this information is always visible, a portion of the screen acts as a regular Internet kiosk web browser used by students to access the school website, the campus map, the library catalog, etc...
"eCrisper is the ideal choice to combine kiosk and digital signage features because it can divide the screen into up to 5 areas, each area with its own web display. That means that some of the information can be visible all the time", says Yves Mailhot, the author of eCrisper.
eCrisper was implemented specifically for Mac using Apple's very latest software technologies. It is fast, reliable, multilingual, and easy to use. The rock-solid UNIX foundation of Mac OS X provides unparalleled stability and performance. This is key to successful kiosk projects.
