KT HEALTH & FITNESS MAKES MOVE INTO MAINSTREAM EXERCISE
10/01/2010

Stamford's premier fitness facility, KT Health and Fitness is celebrating 13 years in business this year with an expansion into mainstream group exercise.

Online PR News – 01-October-2010 – – Stamford - After 13 years as Fairfield County’s premier fitness facility and Stamford’s ‘best kept little secret,’ KT Health & Fitness, Inc., located at 83 Harvard Ave, is proud to announce their expansion into mainstream exercise programs. As of October 1, 2010 current and prospective clients will be able use KT Health’s brand new 500 square foot, state-of-the-art exercise room to take group classes in Yoga, Mat Pilates, military training, civil service training, youth fitness, senior fitness, dance style training, stretching and Zumba.

“We’re expanding our fitness and health related programs to the general population - most specifically baby boomers,” says WIliam Asher, co-partner in the club with Anthony Mirabel. “Aside from all the new classes in our new space, we’re also going to be providing on-site educational seminars, including nutrition health meal preparation and group support classes for a variety of wellness related topics to be announced.”

New staff members are currently being added to the club roster to meet the needs of the growing number of classes. KT Health will continue to hire staff with backgrounds in exercise science and an emphasis on the specialty they will be teaching. As an example, an Exercise Physiologist/Certified Personal Trainer may teach a class in nutrition but will have a M.S in Nutrition.

“Existing, as well as new clients or members, will have the option to pick and choose which plans work best for them and will not be required to pay for programs and services that they do not need or necessarily want to use,” explains Mirabel.
For 13 years KT Health has made a name for themselves within the fitness and healthcare communities with their top-notch, one-on-one training, fitness assessments, metabolic testing, nutritional counseling and massage therapy in a small, personalized environment. What has set them apart in particular has been their close working partnership with Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center.
KT Health is the only fitness facility in Fairfield County to offer a rehabilitative program catering specifically to clients under going cancer treatments, or post cancer procedures like mastectomies.

Asher and Mirabel understand that not everyone can afford personalized one-on-one training. At the same time they believe the health and life benefits of exercising should be available to everyone. It’s one of the reasons they undertook such a major in-house renovation to modify their existing footprint and accommodate a whole new range of group classes and health related seminars.

“The new set-up gives clients the option to make KT Health and Fitness a ‘one stop shop’ for all their wellness needs,” says Asher. “It also helps create new energy and social fun at the club.”
