Aurora Scientific designs and manufactures cutting-edge instrumentation used by life science, neuroscience and materials science researchers around the world. Over the past 33 years they have found a special place at the front lines of science, supporting researchers in their pursuit of greater understanding of muscle and neurodegenerative diseases and potential treatments. Furthermore, Aurora Scientific instruments have played a key-role in discovery and innovation in materials science research.

Located in the town of Aurora since 1997, the introduction of a new company brand and relocation to a new building at 25 Industry Street marks an achievement for the company that has been long in the making. This new facility along with the addition of two sales offices in Ireland and Hong Kong will provide increased opportunity to serve the needs of researchers working at over 160 establishments across 33 countries. Paired with increased capacity in sales, research and development and production, Aurora Scientific is well positioned to become the world leader in their respective niche of high-performance research instrumentation.

Owners, Geoff and Joan Chandler, were joined on Thursday’s event by Aurora Mayor Geoff Dawe, as well as Richmond Hill Councilor Greg Beros, Aurora Councilor John Abel and Member of Parliament for Richmond Hill, Costas Menegakis. The official ribbon was cut at 5:00 pm and was followed by tours of the facility including demonstrations of Aurora Scientific instruments.

“There comes a time for every growing business where hard-work and opportunity intersect, presenting a path for what the future can hold. When we decided that it was time to move into a larger building where we could invest in the future of the company it just made sense to also look at our brand. This has allowed us to connect with our customers and reconnect with ourselves, ensuring that our brand and new location both support growth in the direction we have set”, commented Joan Chandler at the opening event.

The new Aurora Scientific brand exemplifies the core attributes that the company believes to be essential to their past success and future growth. A new logo represents the interconnectedness between supplier, researcher, discovery and the advancement of science. A new mission statement solidifies a commitment to “creating products that answer questions and solve problems” from a company that values “excellence, innovation, responsiveness and the satisfaction of a job well done.” Values that Aurora Scientific promotes to clients and to those within the organization are loyalty, integrity, dedication, collaboration and humility.

Geoff Chandler, President, says, “We’re proud of our work supporting the scientific community in research and discovery. From our new building we will continue to develop innovative hardware and software solutions, recognized as the trusted provider of precision solutions for science researchers everywhere by a brand that is strong, clear and uncompromising.”
