Dallas Chamber Symphony Continues Season On Nov. 18 With Program of Rarely-Performed Selections

Online PR News – 11-November-2015 – Dallas/TEXAS – The Dallas Chamber Symphony will continue its 2015-2016 season on Wednesday, November 18th with a mixed program. Concertmaster Kazuhiro Takagi will join Chloé Trevor to perform J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor. Pianist Eduardo Rojas will dazzle on Ernest Bloch’s powerful and dramatic Concerto Grosso No. 1. The orchestra finishes with Leoš Janáček’s gorgeous Idyll Suite for Strings.

“We are pleased to welcome Concertmaster Takagi and Ms. Trevor back to our stage as featured performers, as our patrons have been so enthusiastic about their performances in the past” says Richard McKay, Music Director and Conductor of the Dallas Chamber Symphony. “We are also excited to be presenting a newcomer, Eduardo Rojas, who will introduce our audience to Bloch’s rarely-performed concert piece for strings and piano.”

Celebrated Colombian pianist, Eduardo Rojas, has been lauded for his delicate touch, colorful tone and deep musicality, and has performed as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Bogotá Philharmonic, Valle Philharmonic (Cali, Colombia), EAFIT University Symphony Orchestra (Medellín, Colombia), the Panamá National Symphony Orchestra (Panama City), the American Wind Symphony (Pennsylvania), the Great Lakes Symphony Orchestra (Michigan), and the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra (Wisconsin.

In addition to his concertizing and recording schedule, Rojas devotes time to support programs for music education in his adopted hometown of Dallas, as well as to cultural exchanges between North and South America.

The performance will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Dallas City Performance Hall (2520 Flora Street, Dallas, Texas 75201) at 8:00 p.m. Individual tickets are available for $19-$49 each, $15 for students.
