Online PR News – 07-November-2015 – Dubai, UAE – Cairo, Egypt: The sixth and penultimate leg of the region-wide Safety Design in Buildings Conference was held in the Egyptian capital city, Cairo, with the focus on fire safety measures in malls and other high occupancy buildings that are springing up around the Middle East.
Following successful legs in Doha, Kuwait City, Manama, Riyadh and Jeddah, more than 100 delegates, including fire consultants, facade designers, engineers, safety professionals, testing experts and safety system suppliers, were in attendance at the JW Marriott Hotel in Cairo.
Organised by Sesam Business Consultants, the conference is being supported by Intersec, the leading international trade event for safety, security, and fire protection. The conference forms part of a pan-Middle Eastern initiative to debate and highlight the current standards of safety and security in buildings in the region as well as to promote a dialogue between regional industry professionals and international experts.
Each leg of the conference features a high-powered panel of international safety and design experts. Supported by the Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB), the Society of Facade Engineering (CIBSE) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM Internaitonal), the conferences target architects, engineers, regulators and related professionals of the construction and contracting industry.
The conference now moves on to the final leg in the Omani capital, Muscat.
