The Network Support Company of Danbury, CT garnered three top tier awards in 2015 in recognition of their customer service, performance and work culture.
Online PR News – 09-October-2015 – Danbury, CT – The Network Support Company (TNSC), Fairfield County’s largest provider of IT services to small and mid-sized businesses, garnered three top tier awards in 2015 in recognition of their outstanding customer service, performance and work culture. TNSC is the only IT services company in CT to have won even two of these awards, let alone all three, in a single year.
“Receiving these awards validates the core beliefs that drive our company. They are especially meaningful because they were not paid for but given purely on the merits of employee surveys and empirical performance data,” says Jim Kennedy, CEO and founder of the Danbury, CT based firm.
As example, TNSC was recognized by Hearst Connecticut Newspapers as one of the Top Places to Work in southern Connecticut for the third year in a row, coming in at number 5. With a less than 3% annual turnover rate TNSC won this award based solely on employee survey responses about the work place.
TNSC also made the MSP Mentor’s list of the Top 100 Managed Service Providers (MSP) in North America for a third year running. “This award speaks to our firms’ technical abilities as well as our operational discipline,” says Jim. “We are the only top 100 MSP in our primary markets of the state of Connecticut, neighboring New York and Central Florida.”
Finally, TNSC made the Marcum Tech Top 40 winner list; an award sponsored by the Connecticut Technology Council and Marcum LLP that recognizes 40 Connecticut companies for outstanding revenue growth. “I’ve always thought that nice guys should finish first and The Marcum Tech Top 40 award corroborates our thinking!” says Kennedy.
Since founding his firm in 1996 Kennedy has pursued a progressive business model. TNSC’s growth and success comes not just from an intense focus on the science and art of proactively managing and optimizing computer networks, but from a wholehearted investment in employee development and a healthy work culture.
“The current research on employee engagement shows an environment that encourages authenticity and true empathy unlocks peoples’ creativity and allows them to invest in work more deeply,” explains Kennedy. He points to the latest research by social researchers like Brené Brown, who gave two wildly popular TED talks on vulnerability, shame and connection as examples. “It really gets at the heart of change in corporate culture,” he says. “Until relatively recently hierarchical, domineering authority driven corporate cultures were the norm. Today more and more it’s about empowering and actively engaging employees and when you find a company that practices those things you will also find higher levels of job enjoyment, productivity and performance.”
TNSC’s own ambitious training programs have meant that their engineers hold over 120 technical certifications. “Few, if any, IT service companies in CT or NY make this level of investment in their people,” says Kennedy, whose own “work hard, have fun” motto underlies his belief that you can create a work culture that allows people to enjoy work and truly excel.
“At the time we started TNSC in 1996 our philosophies on treating employees with a radical depth of care, dignity and respect were considered counterculture by many. It has been personally rewarding to now see those same philosophies validated.”
Founded in 1996 and with headquarters in Danbury, Connecticut and regional offices in Stamford, CT, Florida and Pennsylvania, TNSC specializes in bringing enterprise level information, technology best practices, applications and approaches at affordable costs to small and mid-sized businesses throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and the eastern seaboard.
