Pune, 4th September 2015: The eminent real estate organization of Pune ‘City Corporation Limited’ won the 16th National Award for ‘Excellence in Energy Management’ for the year 2015. This competition was organized by ‘Confederation of Indian Industry’ (CII) at Hyderabad recently. The organization won this award for their excellence in energy management at their Pune-based renowned project ‘Amanora Park Town’. The award comprises of a memento and citation.
Mr. Pradeep Mishra, A. G. M. Electrical, Amanora Park Town received the award from Honorable Shri. Ajay Mathur, Director General of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
As per Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) star rating, the ideal energy consumption of any five-star rated energy efficient organization should be 80 KWH(Units)/Sq M/Year. City based Amanora Park Town has the consumption of 62 KWH(UNIT)/Sq M/Year, including its commercial phase, which made it stand out as a winner.
CII organizes the competition of ‘Excellence in Energy Management’ every year in India at a national level. A panel of 36 judges selects the best energy efficient management industry. The competitors have to make a presentation to the judges and go through a question-answer session to won this award. The jury then declares the winner based on criterias like Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) star rating, energy saving, innovative idea, renewable energy and carbon imitation.
This year, the competition received more than 500 entries out of which 272 were selected for the 2nd round. After the scrutiny, 128 organizations went for the final round. The list of companies who participated in this competition for the year 2015 includes the likes of Tata power, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, ICICI banks, IOCL, Reliance Jamnagar refinery, Reliance Power, Ambuja Cement, Aditya Birla, ACC cement, L & T, JMR Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Forties group of hospitals etc.
