Online PR News – 11-September-2015 – USA – Martin Folse founded Folse Productions, Inc. in 1982 and is currently celebrating the company’s thirty-three years in the media industry. What started as a childhood passion has turned into a successful media business. Folse raised the money to buy his first silent film camera when he was 11 years old and started archiving films of his family. What started small has today become a major player in the media industry.
Martin Folse, encouraged by his family went on to study broadcast journalism at the Nicholls State University. He started working to develop his skills and began experimenting with creating documentaries. He also found volunteering to cover events whenever he could was a great way to gain valuable experience, and he began capitalizing on it. In 1984, Martin Folse went on to produce his first full-length film when he was just 24 years old. After producing his first full-length film, he sold it to New World Pictures, and Shapiro Entertainment. It was a remarkable feat for a young producer to produce and sell his first motion picture to be screened at national and international theaters.
The following year in 1985, Folse started HTV 10. He also received several recognitions for his coverage of Hurricane Juan that same year. Since then he has covered every storm, staying up for several hours with very little rest. His commitment to the media industry and the community was noticed, and he was awarded the Vandebilt Catholic Alumnus of the Year Award for excellence in the community.
Over the years, Folse has contributed several thousands of dollars to area schools. In 2015, he donated a scholarship award to all area high schools for those who wanted to attend either law school or journalism school.
