Online PR News – 11-September-2015 – New Delhi – September 10, 2015: The READ Alliance today announced the launch of the second Early Grade Reading Innovation Challenge 2015. The READ Alliance program is an initiative supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Center for Knowledge Societies (CKS). The Innovation Challenge aims to discover, develop, and scale early grade reading innovations for primary school children in India. The last day to submit entries is October 9.
The innovative entries must lead to positive reading outcomes for children at the school and district level, and/or address a combination of curricular and pedagogic change, teacher knowledge and support. As part of the 2015 Challenge, the READ Alliance is also organizing Innovation Workshops to encourage innovative thinking in designing solutions to address the complex challenge of improving low reading skills among children in India. The workshops will take place in four cities: Lucknow (September 15, 2015), Hyderabad (September 16), Bhopal (September 18) and Guwahati (September 22).
