Dilana wins Rock Against Trafficking’s Sting-Cover global competition. Dilana to record on same album as rock-n-roll legends to help benefit important cause.
Online PR News – 16-July-2015 – San Diego/CA – Rock Against Trafficking (RAT) selected Dilana as the winner of the Rock Against Trafficking "Sting and Police Cover Contest" on TalentWatch. Dilana was also a fan favorite holding the top rating in the competition. According to Gary Miller, producer and founder of RAT, Dilana was everyone's top pick. "Her brilliant rendition of 'The Police' song 'Roxanne' really got our attention. We were impressed with other artists, but Dilana was our top choice."
Gary Miller will record Dilana singing a Sting or Police cover song at his studio in Malibu, California. The song will appear on the 'Set Them Free' compilation album alongside a number of rock-n-roll legends, with the goal of using the power of music to raise funds and awareness of child labor and sex trafficking. The first artists who have recorded for this album include Train, Slash, Heart, Glenn Hughes, Julian Lennon, Journey, Andy Fraser, En Vogue, Carlos Santana, John Anderson, Keb Mo, David Cook, Joe Bonamosa, Sky Blue-LMAFO, Beth Hart & Steve Luckather. More artists committed to this project will be announced in the coming months.
In addition to the above, Dilana will have an original song produced by Gary Miller. She will also perform at the 'Rock Against Trafficking' concert tentatively scheduled in Los Angeles, CA in the fall of 2015.
