Carter Can, a home remodeling show on HGTV, will feature a copper range hood manufactured by Copperworks. The copper hood completes the kitchen project in a Southern California home.
Online PR News – 09-September-2010 – – The HGTV show, Carter Can, airing throughout September will feature a copper range hood from Petaluma’s Copperworks. The Sonoma model range hood has been selected by the producers as an example of how a kitchen can be dramatically transformed with a few changes.
The show, with host Carter Oosterhouse, focuses on remodeling projects that can have a great impact without a large budget. This week’s episode features a Southern California home getting a new kitchen, and the polished copper hood from Copperworks takes center stage.
Copperworks’ president and San Francisco resident, Joe Cain, says of the hood, “It’s one of my favorite designs and looks great with smooth copper. We had this hood on display in our shop when the producers called, and I was happy to work with them.”
Mr. Cain also reports that the timing couldn’t have been better. Earlier this year, one of their zinc countertops found a home in a DIY Network show called, House Crashers. The silvery metal countertop became a centerpiece of a wine room. Additionally, a large copper range hood will soon be featured on a primetime, major network show. “We are very happy to have this national exposure, especially during this slim economy,” Cain adds. “Our craftsmen put their heart into their work and to see the finished product on TV is a measure of their achievement.”
