Online PR News – 24-May-2015 – Melbourne, Australia – Verbatim and 3D Printing Systems partner to distribute leading 3d printing consumables in Australia and New Zealand
Melbourne, Australia - 26th May 2015: 3D Printing Systems has partnered with Verbatim to distribute their top-grade range of Verbatim3D Printing filament to their reseller channel.
The launch of the partnership kicks off at the Inside 3D Printing Conference in Melbourne 26-29 May on stand D03, followed by Australia's largest education conference EduTech 2-3 June on stand 150.
The 3D printing process enables physical objects to be made from three-dimensional models by laying down successive layers of a material in an additive manufacturing process. The 3D printing industry is currently undergoing a massive transformation and enjoying unprecedented growth that is estimated to reach a value of $669 million in 2015, according to Gartner. Now, new and more technologically advanced 3D printers are increasingly being introduced that target use in homes, schools and universities, and key business and industrial applications.
With immediate availability in Australia and New Zealand, the Verbatimrange is available in 1.75mm filament for ABS and 1.75mm and 3mm diameters for PLA in an assortment of vibrant colours on 1kg spools.
The Verbatim products are manufactured in Japan from the highest quality materials and produced to extremely tight tolerances to ensure consistent feed and stable printing. The filaments are distributed in vacuum-sealed bags with desiccant, and wound onto a custom spool that has been designed for strength, uniform dynamic performance and trouble-free dispensing.
Bruce Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, 3D Printing Systems, said “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Verbatim. In our opinion, they produce the highest quality filament on the market.”
As part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Group, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, Verbatim is entering the market of 3D plastic filaments, combining its extensive global sales and marketing operation with Mitsubishi Chemical’s expertise in polymer products.
Verbatim’s initial product offering includes a variety of colour options in 1kg spools of ABS filament with 1.75mm diameter, PLA filament in 1.75 and 3mm diameters and PRIMALLOY flexible filament in 1.75mm diameter 500g spools.
For a printed object to be strong and accurately formed, it is crucial that the printer know exactly how much plastic it is pulling through the machine at any given time. The precision of the filament diameter and the roundness of the filament are vital measurements in ensuring reliable printing. Verbatim’s filaments are manufactured from the highest quality materials and produced to extremely tight tolerances to ensure consistent feed and stable printing. Verbatim ensures the highest levels of quality control, the hallmark of Japanese manufacturing.
