A toast to the beginning of summer will ring in the festive evening, Saturday, May 30 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at 7900 Santa Fe Drive in Overland Park, Kansas.
Prairiebrooke Gallery is a perfect fit for the colorful and exquisite works of Arvid. The relaxed yet sophisticated lifestyle Arvid depicts on canvas is something he both paints and lives. He enjoys traveling to his art shows around the world and also relishes in quiet time in his studio, a charming log cabin nestled just outside of Atlanta.
Those who have the opportunity to meet Arvid at Prairiebrooke Gallery are in for an evening to remember. He will be dedicating sold paintings to their proud owners with a signed, personalized message on the back. He will also be delicately hand-placing enchanting Swarovski crystals to “In God We Trust”, a limited edition painting depicting an exclusive bottle of wine from Sherwin Family Vineyards, which does in fact bare a genuine Swarovski crystal. This sparkling touch elevates his realistic composition to a new dimension.
Due to the delicate nature of the canvas and crystal, Arvid must place each crystal by hand at the gallery rather than at his studio before the painting is shipped. Having the opportunity to see him place the crystal on the canvas is a rare and exciting moment gallery goers of Prairiebrook Gallery will have the pleasure of seeing first-hand, especially with this being Arvid’s first time to attend a gallery show in Kansas.
Both his paintings and his heart are generous in size, making for humble conversations while gallery goers stand in awe of his artistic talent. Arvid is equally awed by the response to his work: "Wine is a great subject because people are familiar with it; they really connect to it. My paintings are really the landscapes between people sharing wine – it's amazing that my collectors find personal fulfillment in my work, especially when I'm just doing what I love.” As Industry Magazine said, “You would never guess that the congenial young man with the exquisite manners of a Southern gentleman was, in fact, a famous painter.” People are drawn to his humble spirit as much as they are drawn to his paintings.
For Arvid, meeting collectors and catching up with old friends at gallery shows is what he loves. Sharing a glass of wine and good conversation is at the heart of everything he does. A toast to summer with friends and a glass in hand is the only way to do it and Prairiebrooke Gallery is the place to be for this artful summer soiree. As Wine Country News said, “With an unparalleled zest for celebrating the good things in life, Arvid recreates for us the special connection shared when friends get together.”
Arvid continues to astonish both art and wine enthusiasts with his monumental compositions that capture the delicate beauty of wine and the evocative pleasure of its consumption. Achieving widespread success with his iconic portrayals of the wine experience, Arvid has become synonymous with the art of living graciously with generosity of spirit.
