The Lifestyle Center Provides Large Array of Services to Help St. Louis Residents Combat Hair Loss

Treatments are convenient, effective, and non-surgical.

Online PR News – 22-May-2015 – ST. LOUIS – The Lifestyle Center is proud to announce that they offer a full suite of effective, convenient, non-surgical hair loss treatment to those who suffer from hair loss in the Greater St. Louis region.

Those who are in the early stages of hair loss may notice more hair on their pillow in the morning, hair breaking off easily when it’s brushed, hair feeling thinner and more fragile, bald spots increasing in size, and a continuously receding hairline. Fortunately, there are several ways for those experiencing hair loss to address the situation without needing to experience invasive hair transplant procedures.

“Many men and women experience a thinning hairline and even bald spots at some point in their lives. For women, this often begins as a widening of the hair part,” said Dr. Richard Moore, owner of The Lifestyle Center. “Fortunately, our innovative hair loss treatments can restore our patients’ with youthful heads of hair, all without surgery.”

Patients will begin their hair restoration experience with a complimentary consultation with Dr. Moore, who will photograph their heads and hair in order to establish a baseline for treatment. Patients will also have their hair density measured. From that point, Dr. Moore will help patients choose the therapy that will give them thicker, healthier hair in a matter of months.

Options for hair restoration include laser light therapy, Formula 82M, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Laser light therapy is provided through the laser cap, which allows patients to go through their everyday lives while receiving laser hair restoration treatment. The device can be worn in the comfort of your own home and because it is battery-operated, patients can relax, do housework, or any other tasks they need to do, all while receiving comfortable treatment. In the meantime, laser light stimulates hair regeneration by increasing blood flow to the scalp, delivering nutrients to the hair follicles, enhancing the caliber of hair, and increasing the rate and speed of hair growth. Patients can expect to see a decrease in hair loss in four to 18 weeks with reversal of thinning hair becoming more noticeable within 18 to 26 weeks. Patients may experience an increase of 20 to 30 percent in their number of hair follicles.

Formula 82M is another effective, convenient treatment that gives patients fuller heads of hair in six to 12 months. It is offered only through prescription and harnesses compounds that are proven to thicken hair. Patients will simply massage 20 to 30 drops of a non-irritating, stable base onto their scalps twice a day. Many patients select this treatment because it produces great results and is very comfortable to use.

PRP is a simple treatment. It begins with a small blood sample from the patient, a process that achieves a concentration of the patient’s PRP, which contains numerous growth factors that can stimulate hair growth. A local numbing cream is placed on the treatment area, and the PRP is then injected. The process takes about an hour and requires no downtime. Most patients have reported seeing results in only two months. Some patients choose to have two to three sessions of the treatment over the course of several months for enhanced results.

“We are proud to provide this large array of hair restoration options to the Greater St. Louis region,” Dr. Moore said.
