The dog celebrates 100k+ Facebook page likes by fundraising in support of building a no-kill community for homeless pets.
Online PR News – 21-May-2015 – Chicago, IL – Santiago, the Old English Sheepdog, a cheery 11 month old nearly deaf puppy living in downtown Chicago, celebrates as he reaches over 100,000 Facebook page likes in less than 2 months. Although Santiago's main joy in life is to make humans happy, he is not just another cute face. Santiago takes charity work seriously and is currently fundraising for the 15th Annual Run for Their Lives 8K Run/4K Walk, in support of PAWS Chicago's mission to build a No Kill community - a place where pets are no longer destroyed because they are homeless.
The proud dog mom and co-agent said: "It's no surprise that Santiago has become so popular, so quickly. Even the grumpiest of people will crack a smile when they see Santiago - he never goes unnoticed."
The idea to start a Facebook page for Santiago was triggered by the desire to spread the joy Santiago brings Chicagoans to a global scale leveraging his likability to fund-raise for good causes. If you would like to help Santiago to fund-raise to help save homeless pets, visit his Facebook page and click the "donate" tab.
Santiago, the Old English Sheepdog, lost his mother and siblings at birth later finding out that he could hardly hear. Santiago overcame these hardships by focusing on obedience school and learning sign language. Santiago's upbringing shaped him to be the most lovable dog in the world. When he is not riding in his bike trailer, hanging at the dog park, eating veggies or swimming, he is walking around town making people smile.
