Hurricane Jimena, the first hurricane impact of the year, came and went and Cabo Fishing Charters captains say they are ready to continue running their Cabo fishing charters immediately
Online PR News – 08-September-2009 – – The charter captains of Cabo fishing Charters.org say they are ready to continue running their popular Cabo San Lucas fishing charters this Thursday, a couple days after the Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas area felt a good amount of force from category-5 hurricane, Hurricane Jimena.
"Though the first day back was not that great, we basically just caught a bunch of yellowfish tuna, fishing in Cabo is great year round. Especially because we're located between the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez, there are always all kinds of species in these, so I expect fishing in Cabo to be pretty close to back to normal by tomorrow," Cabo fishing charter captain Juan Munoz said on Thursday afternoon.
Almost all of the Cabo Fishing Charters captains will continue running their Cabo San Lucas fishing trips as scheduled on Friday morning. They say they expect to catch many large tuna and the usual late summer catches such as Dorado, Grouper and, in offshore waters, the Blue Marlin.
Hurricane Jimena caused minor damage in Cabo San Lucas as it remained far out into the Pacific. Heavy winds and heavy rain hit Cabo San Lucas but other than some fallen trees, the damage in the city was minor.
Cabo Fishing Charters has experience many hurricanes in the past. "We're used to it down here, we're gonna keep on trucking as soon as we can," said Joe Martinez, another one of Cabo Fishing Charters' premier Cabo San Lucas fishing captains.
Previously scheduled Cabo fishing trips will continue on Friday morning.
