Courtnie Marie Ross, Editor in Chief of Plenilune Magazine and Founder of Queen of Wands Cosmetics, is working hard to make her dreams come true.
Online PR News – 07-April-2015 – Kansas City, MO – With a talent for makeup artistry, Ross, 22, knew at an early age that creating her own cosmetics line was in her future. After becoming a Cosmetologist, she set her sights for MUD (Make-up Designory) in Burbank, California, where she honed her skills, and graduated in 2012. As a Make-up Artist, her passion for blending custom colors for clients was one inspiration for creating her own line.
The Queen of Wands Founder is also a long time animal lover, “It was important to me that my line contain all vegan ingredients, to ensure they were animal cruelty-free” she says. “Experience as a makeup artist has taught me which ingredients I like to work with, and I knew exactly which ones I wanted to incorporate in my line. I resource from all vegan certified suppliers to blend together the perfect pigments. I make new discoveries every day, and now have a gorgeous lipstick color, created by blending two of the eye shadow shades from my Cosmic Collection palette.”
In addition to her passion for makeup artistry, Ross has found another creative outlet: jewelry design. WanderLust Creations is an online store, with a variety of hand-made jewelry created by the artisan.
What’s next? This dynamic diva currently has a live Kickstarter, launched in an effort to obtain funding for supplies and ingredients, so she can fulfill pre-orders. A variety of her current products are available as perks for supporters.
The release of Plenilune Magazine, Volume III, a quarterly publication, featuring models like Audrey Kitching and Kelly Eden, which have an edgy, avant-garde ethereal look they gracefully lend to the magazine’s vibe, is due out later this month. “Role models like Audrey Kitching, Kandee Johnson, and Sophia Amoruso have taught me a lot as I read about their journey. I hope to use their lessons learned to help enable the future of my dreams,” states Ross.
