Dr. Marx, who holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Michigan State University, is on the music faculty at the University of Iowa. An advocate for Brazilian music for the clarinet, her CDs of this music have received high critical acclaim around the world. As a Cayambis Music Press Artist, Maurita will be helping to promote and develop new Latin American works for her instrument.
