Horror Author, Stacey Longo, releases young adult novel, ORDINARY BOY
Online PR News – 17-March-2015 – Hebron, CT – Dark Alley Press releases a new novel from Connecticut horror author, Stacey Longo. In ORDINARY BOY, Longo steps outside her horror roots and takes a look at the dark side of adolescence. Available on March 17, 2015, ORDINARY BOY is available in trade paperback and e-book from major book retailers such as Amazon and iBooks.
"Stacey Longo has an amazing ability to find the extraordinary in ordinary life," says N. Apythia Morges, Dark Alley's acquisition editor. "She has an uncanny ability to draw you along on the journey of a young man navigating his way into adulthood and then blindside you with unexpected plot twists that make Ordinary Boy stand out from other coming of age novels. This novel taps into raw emotions and the feeling of being an outcast we all experienced at some point and makes us want to assure our young characters that life does get better. But just like in real life, that isn’t always the case for everyone. Longo doesn’t shy away from exploring the darker side of teen life, domestic violence, and its fallout through a brutally realistic, yet compassionate lens."
Stacey Longo is the author of My Sister the Zombie and Secret Things: Twelve Tales to Terrify. Her stories have appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines, including Shroud, Shock Totem, and the Litchfield Literary Review. She is a winner of the 2011 Hiram Award from Shroud magazine, and a featured author on the 2014 Connecticut Authors Trail. A former humor columnist for the Block Island Times, she maintains a weekly humor blog at www.staceylongo.com. Longo lives in rural Connecticut.
