Titzell is running for the open seat in District Court 19-1-02 in the City of York, Pennsylvania.
Titzell was an Adult Probation Officer for 13 years and holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Criminal Justice. As a court-appointed officer, he has extensive experience in the courtroom, both at the District Court level and in the Court of Common Pleas. He has dealt with every type of criminal offender throughout his career and spent the last eight years working in the Sex Offender Unit. "I have devoted my life to public service and trying to make a difference in the lives of others," said Titzell. "Serving as a Magisterial District Judge will allow me to use my knowledge of the criminal justice system to focus on matters that greatly affect my community in York City."
Titzell adds, "I am willing to sentence individuals charged with low-level misdemeanors. This will save time for the defendants, attorneys, and police officers and will provide immediate savings to the taxpayers by reducing the number of unnecessary cases that continue to the Court of Common Pleas."
The primary will be held on May 19, 2015. The election date is November 3, 2015.
