FabTrol Systems introduces its next generation of drawing management software to detailers
Online PR News – 06-August-2010 – – Fabtrol Systems, Inc., a global leader in steel fabrication management software solutions, introduces its new drawing management tool at Tekla’s 2010 user meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, August 12–14.
Tom Carpenter, a FabTrol Systems’ training and implementation specialist, will be on hand to demonstrate the drawing management, RFI and transmittal tools provided in this recently released software package. Designed specifically to manage information requests and drawings in complex fabrication and construction project environments, the new software eliminates common problems associated with one-off construction projects that require management of design changes and multiple drawing types. The fully integrated system manages drawings and requests for information seamlessly through the project life cycle, including the import of virtually any drawing type and automatic revision control. The integrated RFI and transmittal systems streamline project communication and the exchange of drawings—and other project documents—ensuring that the most current information, including automated status updates, is available throughout the system at all times without duplication of effort. An automatic drawing log provides a quick view of past drawing revisions and historical events/statuses of those revisions.
Mr. Carpenter will also provide information about FabTrol System’s upcoming software release and recent integration with Peddinghaus CNC machinery during the event’s opening cocktail reception and at the FabTrol Systems’ booth in the exhibit hall.
Fabricators and detailers alike who are interested in these topics are invited to attend the opening cocktail reception, sponsored by the Dowco Group, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August, 12. Mr. Carpenter will speak at the reception about upcoming improvements and additions to FabTrol MRPs’ bar coding capabilities, as well as other features in the upcoming release. He will also provide information about FabTrol MRP’s recent integration with Peddinghaus CNC controllers. A joint Peddenhaus-FabTrol effort, this integration builds on FabTrol MRP’s ability to transmit CNC data to the shop floor and automatically update parts completed in FabTrol MRP based on electronic feedback from Peddenhaus CNC machinery.
Attendees are also encouraged to visit FabTrol Systems’ booth in the exhibit hall for more information about these topics and the company’s new drawing management tools. Information about the FabTrol Detailer Network will also be available at the booth. Participation in the network allows detailers to work efficiently with their fabricator customers who run FabTrol MRP by ensuring that their Tekla exports can be easily imported and managed in FabTrol MRP.
