15 Percent of Sales on September 22nd will be Donated to Combat Childhood Hunger

Online PR News – 19-September-2014 – Aliso, Viejo, CA – A month-long fundraising campaign organized by Chronic Tacos, a California inspired Mexican grill that celebrates the authenticity and individuality of its customers, is aiming to provide meals to 250,000 kids by raising $25,000 throughout the month of September. The campaign continues on September 22nd, when 15 percent of the sales made at the U.S. Chronic Tacos locations that day will be donated to No Kid Hungry.

Chronic Tacos kicked off the September No Kid Hungry campaign with the fourth annual “Gringo Bandito Chronic Tacos Challenge” on Labor Day. The event was hosted by MTV celebrity Wee Man at Wee Man’s Chronic Tacos location. In addition, Offspring front man Dexter Holland, creator of the Gringo Bandito hot sauces that are found in every Chronic Tacos location, attended and helped support the event. The fundraiser, which raised over $1,000 for the charity, brought out celebrities to compete as well as professional eaters. Last minute addition, professional eater Patrick Bertolli, gave Kobayashi, a famed professional eater from Japan, a run for his money during this year’s competition. The controversial ending found Bertolii throwing back 122 tacos finishing a close second to Kobayashi who downed 130 tacos in 10 minutes.

After September 22nd, there will still be time to donate by visiting any Chronic Tacos location in the U.S. Through the end of the month, for any donation $1.00 or more made in a Chronic Tacos store, a guest will receive a free taco on their next visit.
