LocalSpy, a Seattle-based start up, launched the beta version of its local conversation website. The purpose of the website is to inspire individuals who live within the same location to explore businesses and public spaces within their own local communities.
Online PR News – 05-August-2010 – – LocalSpy.com announces the launch of its free online sweepstakes.
"The goal of the LocalSpy website is to reach internet users who want to share information and build friendships with others who live, work and play in the same community", says Lakshmi Narayanan, the company's community manager. "The result is a more dynamic, engaging conversation."
LocalSpy differs from other social networking sites in that it focuses on connecting people who reside in the same geographic location. The company also combines several aspects users enjoy with existing hyper-local sites, social media and forum platforms.
This sweepstakes will connect users who share common interests and also help LocalSpy gather audiences willing to test drive the beta format.
The sweepstakes goes through August 31, 2010. The grand prize winner will receive an Xbox 360 Arcade console. A $25.00 Kohl's gift certificate will be awarded to two runners up. Winners will be announced September 1st. Each winner will be notified by email and winner's names will be posted on the home page of the LocalSpy website.
The sweepstakes is designed to be user-friendly as it does not require an entry fee or long entry form. There are only 3 rules to enter. See sweepstakes requirements at http://www.localspy.com.Interested persons can also befriend LocalSpy on Facebook or follow the company on Twitter at http://twitter.com/localspys.
In the coming months LocalSpy plans to launch a lineup of coupons and special daily offers for brand owned products specific to site users’ geographic location.
