Online PR News – 04-August-2010 – – Leading UK photographic supplies firm Digital Depot has announced it will be stocking Panasonic’s hotly anticipated Lumix DMC-LX5 compact camera.

Part of a brand new range unveiled by Panasonic this month, the LX5 is a successor to the DMC-LX3, which received impressive reviews worldwide and set a new benchmark in the world of versatile compacts. There is now a new kid on the block however.

The LX5’s 24mm lens means users have a huge viewing space, while the camera’s 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor and an optical zoom range from 2.5x to 3.8x means it is even more versatile than its predecessor. As well as being able to create stunning stills though, the camera can capture high quality 720p video recording in AVCHD Lite.

Additional features include Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto system, which is also available in video mode, and will automatically switch between normal, portrait, macro, scenery, and low light modes as and when required. You will then be able to check out the fantastic images and video you have captured thanks to the LX5’s 3 inch, 460,000 dot resolution LCD screen.

The DMC-LX5 will be available from Digital Depot’s Stevenage store and through the company’s website from August 23.

Stuart Boston at Digital Depot, said: “We’re really excited to be stocking this latest release from Panasonic. Everyone here is keen to get hold of the DMC-LX5 and put it through its paces.

“The F2.0 ultra wide angle 24mm lens makes this camera an impressively versatile piece of kit and it should be a joy to use as a compact for professional’s or experienced amateurs. The video recording function will also make it a popular choice with users who are keen to hone their skills.”
