The weekly eNewsletter produced a special edition providing information on the selection, NOC background, âHooch history and more
Online PR News – 17-August-2014 – Atlanta, GA – After the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area confirmed the selection of the Nantahala Outdoor Center as the adventure provider for a 6.5-mile section. The Atlanta 100 broke the news in a special edition newsletter on the selection, what it means for Atlanta outdoor enthusiasts, a look back at the âHooch history and more.
What began as a group of Atlantan river enthusiasts has developed into the nationâs largest outdoor recreation company. The NOC serves seven rivers in the Southeast and hosts 120 different activities such as hiking, biking, yoga, paddle boarding and more. The NOC plans to open two riverside adventure centers, the NOCâs first centers in Georgia, along the Chattahoochee River.
Within the special edition newsletter, found at TheAtlanta100.com, readers can find articles on the background of the NOC, the infamous Ramblinâ Raft Race, Lakeview at Fontana hotel and spa, Chattahoochee Coffee, a Crowdfunding movie about the river and more.
âAfter visiting Bryson City, N.C., just 10 minutes away from the NOC, we felt compelled to begin reporting on and working with one of the countryâs most innovate, outdoor firms,â said Chris Schroder, president of Schroder Public Relations and The Atlanta 100. âWe wanted to break the news in a creative way, not just in a press release. The special edition eNewsletter encompassing so many important aspects of the NOC and the Chattahoochee seemed like the perfect medium.â
The Atlanta 100, which began in October 2013, recently released its 39th issue to nearly 16,000 subscribers. In the first 39 weeks, more than 154,000 Atlantans opened the eNewsletter and more than 75,000 viewed the videos in their email window.

The Schroder Public Relations team, along with Atlantaâs top Thought Leaders and professionals, produce weekly columns on social media, architecture, the arts, history, real estate, travel, restaurants and more.
The eNewsletter just concluded its feature called, âCrossroads,â a video profile of fascinating Atlantans by Chris Schroder, who previously produced a similar article and video feature called âMomentsâ for SaportaReport. Featured Crossroads in The Atlanta 100 have included Archbishop Wilton Gregory, Laura Turner Seydel, Valarie Wilson and more.
