RevUp, the Upstate’s only boutique spinning studio, will officially open its doors to the fitness community on Saturday, August 16.
Online PR News – 14-August-2014 – Greenville, SC – GREENVILLE, S.C. – RevUp, the Upstate’s only boutique spinning studio, will officially open its doors to the fitness community on Saturday, August 16.
The weekend will feature three classes on Saturday and two on Sunday. All are free, and participants can register online at www.revupcycling.com.
Online registration is one of the unique aspects of the studio. Participants can book spinning sessions in advance online instead of being first-come, first serve like many fitness centers. There are no membership commitments and people can pay for classes as they go.
The studio is located at 2441 Laurens Road, in the same shopping center as Sky Zone Greenville. The 3,800 square foot facility features 30 spinning bikes, three dressing rooms, showers and a large waiting area for people to cool off post workout.
“A spinning workout is an excellent way to burn some calories and relieve stress,” said Jeffrey Beane, owner. “The wonderful thing about the benefits of indoor cycling is that it does not take any special knowledge or ability.”
The spinning studio features 60-inch television screens and the bikes are aligned in a stadium seating style, which means everyone can see the instructor, Beane said. Each bike includes built-in software that allows users to save data from previous workouts, track workout goals and see how they are competing against other people in the program if they chose. RevUp is the only location between Atlanta and Charlotte to use these specialized cycles.
During the weekend, spinners will also be able to preview RevUp’s 600 square feet of training space, with a focus on functional fitness.
“We really see this as an experience as well as a workout,” Beane said. “This is a concept that’s growing nationwide. The Upstate is ready for it.”
