Busy Rooms Central Reservation System gains certification for leading metasearch platform trivago

Busy Rooms customers can now list their direct rates on one of the world’s leading metasearch platforms trivago

Online PR News – 07-August-2014 – Pieta, Tuesday 5th August – Pieta, Malta, Tuesday 5th August 2014: Busy Rooms today announced that it has completed integration and certification with one of the world’s largest metasearch platforms, trivago. Customers of the hotel solution provider can now easily manage a listing on trivago alongside their own website as well as other hotel sales channels.

Metasearch engines have become extremely popular tools for consumers over the past two years. By aggregating information on hotel rates, customer reviews, availability and content on one website it makes it easier for consumers to compare offerings.

According to a study by market research firm L2 in 2013 ‘36% of US travelers, 35% of UK travelers, 42% of German travelers and 54% of Chinese travelers used metasearch platforms when booking or researching travel products online’. With this trend set to rise Busy Rooms has made sure it keeps its customers up to date. Hospitality providers who participate in the Busy Rooms service will now be able to list the rates shown on their Internet Booking Engine alongside online travel agencies also selling their rooms on trivago.

Sascha Hausmann, CEO of Busy Rooms, commented ‘Metasearch offers a great opportunity for hotels to draw potential guests to their own website and receive direct bookings. Recently hotels have experienced an increasing dependency to online travel agencies and have found it difficult to compete. trivago provides an opportunity to further diversify distribution and work on building their own presence and brand on the web. We are very pleased to have our technology fully certified by one of the world’s best known travel brands’

Daniel Holl, Global Hotel Sales trivago, added ‘We are happy to cooperate with Busy Rooms and provide hoteliers with the unique opportunity to promote their rates directly on trivago. Entering into an agreement also means that trivago users will have the possibility to search and book directly with the hotel.’

Other metasearch platforms are keen to access Busy Rooms niche hospitality product and negotiations are continuing to get them connected as well.
