Giact Systems Inc sponsors a Texas summer camp, one of many community service ventures by the company.
Online PR News – 30-July-2014 – Dallas, TX – Once school is out for the summer, a lot of kids are left without any place to go. Parents can no longer rely on the school to look after their children during the day while they are at work. For families who don't have much money, this can present a big problem.
Enter Spark Youth Leadership Camp. This summer camp for kids from fifth to twelfth grade lasts seven weeks. It teaches study skills, financial literacy, leadership skills, and discovery of their own vision and purpose. This year, it would not be possible without sponsorship from Giact Systems Inc.
Giact Systems Inc is known for giving back to the community. A company that specializes in risk management services, it seems as important to Giact Systems Inc to contribute as it is to earn. “Spark Youth Leadership Camp teaches vulnerable kids important lessons they need in this world,” says Merlin Bise, Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder of Giact Systems Inc. Bise co-founded Giact Systems Inc with Chief Executive Officer Melissa Brown. Both founders are extensively involved in community service in their home state of Texas. They both serve on several non-profit advisory committees and boards.
When asked what made Spark a worthy candidate for sponsorship, Brown cited the camp's Christian values. “The accepting environment Spark gives kids helps them gain confidence in being themselves,” said Brown. Brown and Bise both attend the Fellowship Church in Plano, Texas.
Giact Systems Inc has been in business for ten years, and since its founding has been deeply involved in charity work. Its contributions do not remain limited to Texas; Giact Systems Inc has provided needed funds and human power to causes in need across the country, and even internationally. Spark is not the only summer camp Giact Systems Inc has funded. Giact Systems Inc was recognized in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 for helping raise funds to send kids to summer camp. In 2012, 2013, and 2014, Hope House honored Giact Systems Inc for their financial contributions in helping open a house for women fighting addictions to drugs and alcohol. Hope House provides a safe space for women to stay and learn life skills, supporting them as they get and stay clean and sober. Hope House supports them as they find jobs and eventually can move out on their own. In 2013 and 2014, Unbreakme honored Giact Systems Inc for being a sponsor, helping them fight against domestic violence.
Internationally, Giact Systems Inc sent a team to the Philippines to help rebuild houses destroyed by the devastating 2014 hurricane.
"In the future, we hope there will be more companies like Giact Systems Inc," says Brown. She and Bise have mentored several start ups over the past ten years. They donate their time on one condition-- "They have to promise they will give back to their local community." Today, four companies have follow in Giact Systems Inc's footsteps, embodying a company model that is dedicated to community service.
