Online PR News – 23-July-2014 – Toronto – DPFOC is delighted to have taken the first steps in our fledgling CSR program by agreeing to sponsor two children through Action Aid.
As part of the partnership, DPFOC will sponsor two children, one from Nepal and the other from Vietnam. Managing Director of DPFOC Canada, Lisa Hallgren said of the arrangement: “We believe that education empowers people to achieve great things. Action Aid’s work ensures that thousands of children gain the education of which they otherwise would be deprived; they in turn can teach the next generation, build businesses, create jobs and infrastructure to improve the lives of all around them. Finally, we wanted to donate to a team of people with genuine passion for their cause. Our dealings with the team in Action Aid convinced us that these guys had the drive to use our donation to do the maximum possible amount of good each month.”
ActionAid is a partnership between people in rich and poor countries dedicated to ending poverty and injustice.
