Online PR News – 03-May-2022 – Tecumseh, Michigan – Timbercraft, a long-standing timber framing company in Lenawee County, recently announced the transition to the new ownership of James and Rachel Miller.

New owner, James, has been involved in the timber frame industry since 2004. He attributes his 15-plus years of experience designing and assembling beautiful timber structures to his love of craftsmanship and the timber frame industry. Nine years of experience at Timbercraft has prepared the Millers for their exciting new chapter in life. James is joined by his wife Rachel, their two boys, and their dog Samson – fondly known as the “office dog.” With a strong family foundation, James and Rachel will continue to foster a customer-centric, yet family-oriented environment for all associates of business.

James and Rachel explained that they were presented the ownership opportunity by Bob and Anne Sternquist, who owned and operated Timbercraft for the past 20 years, navigating the company through many ups and downs including the market crash in 2008 / 2009 and the Covid pandemic. The Millers were honored to receive such an offer and could not pass it up. They wanted to embrace the challenge of running the company that has been such an integral part of their lives. Their love for the timber industry and its unerring ability to leave a legacy is reflected in their brand’s motto: “Built for Life.”

“I have been a part of Timbercraft for many years,” James says, “and I look forward to guiding the company through the next 30 years, just from a different end of the desk.”

The new owners look forward to sharing the grassroots style culture of their organization. Their goals for the future of the business include increased community outreach, growth, and awareness. By inviting the community into the timber culture through various projects such as local pavilions and workshops, they'll be bringing the best of the beauty of timber framing into the local community. James and Rachel look forward to building relationships with local businesses as they usher the Timbercraft brand forward into the future.
