“It’s a call to service which focuses on bringing the community together while raising the standards for everyone to live, work, and play,” said Wilson. “I’m running because I’m passionate about creating a better Charles County. I can bring the leadership necessary to achieve higher standards of living and promote a tremendous sense of pride and connection here in our community.”
A native of Charles County, Wilson graduated from Charles County public schools and went on to attend the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), graduating with a B.S. in business administration. While enrolled at UMES, she participated in the R.O.T.C. program at Salisbury University. She was commissioned as second lieutenant and pursued a career in the U.S. Army, retiring in 2005. Wilson is active in the community, volunteering in numerous organizations and at various events.
Wilson adds, “I’m determined to move in a direction that promotes prosperity and a sense of pride in our community. I want to achieve higher levels of excellence in our county’s governance, services, recreation, arts, agritourism, and cultural opportunities.”
The primary will be held on July 19, 2022, and the general election will be held on November 8, 2022.
