Peterson is running for US House of Representatives, representing Mississippi 4th District. In 2003, Kidron joined the Army Reserve and served in the Reserve for 8 years. He is currently an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Poplarville.

The primary will be held on June 7, 2022, with the election on November 8, 2022.
