Grammy Winner Frankie Biggz to Remix Comedian Tommy Davidson’s New Single “Sweet Reunion”, featuring Dave Koz & 8 x Grammy Award winning group Take 6
Online PR News – 03-April-2022 – Barcelona, Spain. – Last January Tommy Davidson, actor, writer, producer, stand up comedy and author made his musical come back with “Sweet Reunion”, a very personal rendition to the Kenny Loggins’ classic, where he was well accompanied by superstar jazz saxophonist Dave Koz & Take 6’s vocalist David Thomas.
This time, to continue to impact his followers with this release Tommy has decided to enroll another production celebrity, Latin Grammy award winner Frankie Biggz, for the release of 4 new remixes of the song: “I remember that tune (Sweet Reunion) when it came out.”, Frankie said, and continues “I was no stranger to Kenny Loggins’s music back in the early 80’s with the success of the movie ‘Caddy Shack’ and the hit soundtrack song “I’m Alright”. Years later, I heard Sweet Reunion at a Monroe High School dance and was surprised. Not the Kenny Loggins energy I had come to expect, but a Jazzier & more Refined one. When Tommy told me he was gonna cover it, I was like “Ok, that makes sense” and I said “My dude, let me get that Remix” he agreed and the rest is Music History”.
Frankie Biggz is not a stranger to making music history: With 2 dozen remix singles both official and white label and a Latin Grammy with in 2007, he’s accumulated successes since the early 90’s, from his former production team “Groovy Soup” to his more recent collaboration with legendary house DJ “DJ Cooking” Carlos Valderrama in the rebranding of Rama Music, the iconic 90s House Label.
And it is this genre that Biggz has chosen to remix “Sweet Reunion”, in a nostalgic but current set of remixes that will please club goers around the world: “Biggz is diverse, intricate, and unique, able to mesh Hip-Hop, House, and R&B, as a matter fact, any style” Tommy says “However, being that he lives in Spain I knew he would be able to perfectly capture the mix between the American essence of house and the contrast chill-party atmosphere they breath in Europe, and he absolutely did”.
Lately Tommy Davidson has been swirled in a tornado of business endeavors, as he finds a balance between his multiple talents. While he continues to grace stages around the US with his stand up comedy performances he can also be heard currently reprising his role as patriarch Oscar Proud in Disney+ “Proud Family” reboot: “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”.
The Frankie Biggz Remixes Maxi-Single will be released on April 1st on all major Digital Platforms through Rama Music, in Collaboration with The Orchard Music and Sony Music Distribution.
