Loretta Hummel Receives Music Awards in Branson at CGMA Convention

Loretta Hummel received 4 silver heart awards at Country Gospel Music Association Eastern Convention and 2 golden heart awards at International Convention

Online PR News – 09-November-2021 – Frostburg, Maryland – During the 2021 CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association) Eastern Division Convention, held August 16 through August 21 in Hanson, Kentucky, Loretta Hummel received four silver heart awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year for her original song “A Holy Highway” and the Favorite Artist of the year.

As an award recipient, Hummel was automatically entered in the international awards process,
with the opportunity to participate in the International CGMA Convention, held October 18 through October 23 in Branson, Missouri.

Hummel received two golden heart awards, namely: International Lyrist of the Year for her original composition, “Mama Talked to Jesus” and International Yodeler of the Year for her original song, “All Fired Up For Jesus.” Ballots were cast throughout the week-long event by the members in attendance.

"The Country Gospel Music Association was established to assist musical artists in gaining recognition from the general public and their ministry-oriented peers," said Billy Hale, president. "For this cause, we formed the Silver and Golden Heart Awards so that they could endorse and recommend one another. There are over 7,500 members.

The week-long conventions consist of morning worship and prayer and afternoon workshops. There are performances every night by the members of CGMA, Monday through Friday. On Saturday night, the last night of the conventions, The Silver Heart and Golden Heart Awards, respectively, are presented. CGMA holds conventions worldwide.
