Online PR News – 31-August-2021 – LONDON – Behind the Balance Sheet, the investment research and training consultancy, announces the first episode of its brand new podcast, released August 19. The podcast has founder Stephen Clapham, a former partner of a Tiger Cub multi-billion hedge fund in discussions with investment managers who have never been on a podcast before.

Episode 1, Two Titans, features John Armitage, founder and CIO of $28bn London hedge fund Egerton Capital in discussion with Stephen and Brent Hoberman, co-founder of Founders Factory, lastminute.com, made.com and multiple tech and not for profit ventures.

This was a wide ranging discussion covering topics like

• why, in spite of their incredible success, both guests are workaholics
• why the market has got it wrong about electric vehicles, and
• why Kathie Wood’s Tesla target price makes no sense.

Podcast host Clapham runs an online training school for private investors and is the author of Amazon #1 investing bestseller The Smart Money Method, How to Invest like a Hedge Fund Pro. He has called on an extensive Rolodex, the product of 30 years of investing, and persuaded a number of formerly publicity shy hedge fund managers to reveal some of their investing secrets.

Everyone, whether a graduate or an experienced professional, will learn something, including some investing tricks, from these podcasts. The discussions go beyond stock tips and dive deeper into companies and sectors and cover issues like how to assess managers. A key differentiation is a focus on the intersection of quoted stock investing and venture capital – discussing disruption from these two different perspectives has been highly Illuminating.

The podcast is sponsored by Sentieo, the financial and corporate research platform and Bloomberg rival. It’s available on all major platforms and on the corporate website, https://www.behindthebalancesheet.com/podcasts
