Florida Skin Center Donates $15,000 to Local Philanthropic Organizations

Florida Skin Center (FSC), has donated $15,000 to local philanthropic organizations as part of its “Dermatology from the Heart” program.

Online PR News – 21-May-2021 – Fort Myers, FL – Florida Skin Center (FSC), skin care specialists that provide a full range of medical and cosmetic dermatological care, has donated $15,000 to local philanthropic organizations as part of its “Dermatology from the Heart” program. “Dermatology from the Heart” is Florida Skin Center’s way of giving back to the communities it serves via philanthropic organizations that reflect team members’ values. These contributions are part of the $85,000 that Florida Skin Center has donated since 2015.

This year’s recipients are:
• The Bobby Nichols-Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation ($4,600)
• The Canterbury School ($5,000)
• Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida ($2,500)
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Sun Coast – Lee County ($1,500)
• Crowning Daughters for Success ($1,000)
• The Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda ($400)

“We care about our team members, patients, and the community we live and work in,” said Florida Skin Center Founder and Chief Medical Officer Anais Aurora Badia, M.D., D.O. “If we want our community to grow and thrive, it is in our best interest to work together for important causes.”

The Bobby Nichols-Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation is an organization benefitting abused and at-risk children in Southwest Florida. The foundation has donated more than $13 million to local organizations over the past 15 plus years. FSC served as an emerald sponsor of the 2021 Nichols Cup Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

Crowning Daughters for Success is an enrichment program that serves girls ages 7 & older in character, health, self-esteem, and etiquette. FSC is a sponsor of The Ma & Me Initiative that provides a virtual space to help mothers and daughters navigate through the difficulties of life by reading and participating in 6 weeks of power talks, interactive activities, and much more.

FSC made donations to The Canterbury School, an independent preschool-grade 12 school where students are immersed in strong academics and co-curriculars; Junior Achievement, whose purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy; Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, that provides one-to-one mentoring services to over 1,800 children between the ages of 6 and 21 years old; and The Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda, that offers unique, innovative experiences across 250 years of military history in its 17,000 square foot facility.

Florida Skin Center was recently honored for performing the most free skin cancer screenings in the nation and a 2020 Best and Brightest Company to Work for in the nation.
