Golden International Mining today announced that it has acquired a gold and silver open-pit mining project in the Salares Norte region of northwest Chile.
Online PR News – 18-May-2021 – SANTIAGO – Golden International Mining’s project is located within the prolific gold mineral area of Salares Norte in the northwest of Chile and a preliminary economic assessment carried out over the last few months defined the potential for this project to be huge.
Golden International Mining’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Graham Watkins commented on the Salares Norte project saying “After extensive research and testing, our team of geologists have determined that gold is the primary economic metal to mine with silver having secondary importance. Preliminary reports have shown the mining potential to be over 50,000 ounces of gold and over 70,000 ounces of copper.”
“Our team of experienced geologists have identified that gold mineralization is hosted by intensely silica and alunite altered and oxidized rocks and most of the mineralization has occurred in rocks formed by explosive volcanism. We expect to start the excavation process in the coming months whilst also following strict COVIS-19 protocols,” added Graham Watkins, Chief Executive Officer of Golden International Mining.
