Online PR News – 11-May-2021 – Cleveland, OH – Thespis Media has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to finish the short documentary titled But You’d Be A Great Mom. This short film is about the infertility journey of a woman who has decided to come out as childfree. The all-or-nothing campaign ends May 30 with a goal of $4,600.
Around the time Hollie turned 30, she had been married to Byron for 5 years and was on her way in a great media career. Of course, the default next step is to have a baby... Then she faced a new journey into the winding waters of infertility, peer pressure to become parents, and a deep look into pro-natal expectations of women. This rocky adventure had her questioning her own heart and lifestyle. Upon turning 40, the questions about getting pregnant and hearing the phrase "But you'd be a great mom," have subsided and she is finally ready to share her story.
"Why does it have to be shameful in our society to just want to be the cool aunt. It took me a long time to realize this. I can still love kids, but not necessarily have any of my own. I'm still part of a tribe supporting my mom friends and sisters. Parents do not have some of the time and resources that I do, so I can contribute to my nieces and nephews in different ways," Brubaker says. "This story is to help other women in a similar position to start celebrating what is right in their world, instead of focusing on the shame of infertility."
In exchange for pledging to this project, backers gain access to a variety of rewards.
