The new, modern facility is furnished with state-of-the-art equipment for the diagnosis and management of all aspects of eye care including cataracts, glaucoma, eyelid abnormalities, and dry eye. In addition to featuring the latest in comprehensive eye exam technology, the new location has a full-service optical department with a broad range of the latest eyewear trends for women, men and kids, including sunglasses by Ray Ban, Costa Del Mar and Maui Jim. Snead Eye Group’s new Cape Coral location is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and accepts virtually all medical and vision insurance plans.
Seeing patients at Snead Eye Group’s new Cape Coral office is Dr. Allison Coll whose expertise is primary eye care. She finds fascinating all aspects of eye care including comprehensive exams, pre-operative and post-operative care of cataract and eyelid surgery patients, glaucoma treatments, as well as ocular disease management.
Dr. Coll grew up outside of Philadelphia and completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While in optometry school, she completed externships with various optometry and ophthalmology practices in Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, and the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
After completing her optometry residency, Dr. Coll focused in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and low vision at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Coll is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, and the Florida Optometric Association.
Working closely with primary care physicians and Internal Medicine specialists, Dr. Coll helps spread awareness of the importance of annual eye exams, especially for diabetic and other high-risk patients.
