Lynnhaven Academy is happy to announce the move from its campus in Forest Hill to a 25-acre campus in Eastern Henrico County.
Online PR News – 26-February-2021 – Richmond, Virginia – Lynnhaven Academy is proud to announce the move from its campus in Forest Hill to Glendale Community Bible Church, a 25-acre campus in the heart of Eastern Henrico. This move, which will be complete in July 2021, aims to expand its experiential and outdoor programming. Lynnhaven, a college preparatory, independent school for students in grades 6-12, has been at their current location for four years. "This is a wonderful opportunity for Lynnhaven – I couldn’t imagine a better setting for my child to learn and for the school to continue to enrich the lives of so many." said a current parent of the school.
The new location will offer students an educational experience and a lifestyle found at no other independent day school in the Richmond area. With historic parks and the James River nearby, this idyllic setting is in step with the school’s hands-on learning focus.
Christina Owens, the chairwoman of Lynnhaven Academy’s Board of Trustees, stated that "Lynnhaven Academy continues to be a beacon for students who thrive in a creative, compassionate, collaborative environment. I, along with the Board of Trustees, look forward to Lynnhaven’s growth as we transition into the next decade."
Johnathan Harris, Lynnhaven’s founder and head of school, said, "the relocation to this new campus allows us freedom and autonomy like we’ve not experienced before as a school. The students will be refreshingly free of distractions. I want to thank Pastor Sweeney and the trustees at Glendale Community Bible Church for this incredible opportunity for our school to grow on their beautiful campus. I am excited about fulfilling the school’s mission."
Lynnhaven is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Please contact Stephanie White, Director of Admissions, for more information.
