Online PR News – 27-January-2021 – Dubai – Born as Regent Markets in 1999, the commitment to easing market access and trading for retail investors across a wide array of trading options has not dimmed at Deriv. The company believes that it is the team’s passion for innovation and excellence in fintech services that has helped them win satisfied and loyal clients across the world. Deriv expects to have served more than 175,000 clients and over 377 million transactions by the start of 2021.

The company takes pride in the fact that they have been able to constantly reinvent themselves and continue to expand throughout their history of over 2 decades. This has helped them remain at the leading edge of fintech service provision, offering clients the latest and safest technologies to ease trading.

Expanding to New Horizons
Starting out with an office in Malta in 1999, Deriv opened a second office halfway across the world, in Malaysia, in just 4 years. By 2019, they had two offices functioning in Malaysia, while new offices were established in Dubai and Paraguay. At the start of 2021, the company has over 500 people spread across their offices in Malta, Malaysia, Paraguay and Dubai.

Despite last year having been a trying one, with new work from home and remote working rules being put in place, the team’s ambitions did not slow down. They continued on their growth trajectory, with two new offices opened in Melaka and Ipoh, in Malaysia. They also opened an office in Limassol, Cyprus and one in Kigali, Rwanda.

“Asia and Africa are two of the fastest growing markets. We believe that they have a lot to offer traders and investors of all types. We have always believed that the best way to ensure responsive services is to establish our base closer to our clients. This is why we are very excited with the upcoming office openings. We look forward to expanding in Africa, just the way we did in Asia,” said Jean-Yves Sireau, Founder and CEO, Deriv.

The Biggest Asset
Dedicated employees are what help Deriv achieve new heights with each passing year. In 2020, the company set a new record, with about 180 new job offers accepted. The company takes pride in having employees from over 45 different nationalities, all working together and sharing the same vision and commitment to excellence in services. To date, Deriv has 30 different teams spread across the world, fulfilling different functions, under one single entity.

“The diversity among us makes Deriv such an exciting workplace. Each of us brings a new perspective but all of us share the same dream. This is also what gives us unique insights into the culture, traditions and needs of our clients across the world. We are looking to further grow our headcount his year, to keep pace with the growth in demand for our services and products,” stated Shyamala Siva, Head of Human Resources, Deriv.

Deriv looks forward to launching a new graduate internship program in Malaysia in 2021 called Be Square. The company believes that this initiative will be mutually beneficial for both Deriv, always open to fresh thinking, and the interns as they benefit from 2 decades of experience. In fact, one of the key reasons that the company has always been able to attract great talent is that they invest in their employees and their growth path.

What sets the Deriv team apart is its high energy and global character. Every employee has a voice in what Deriv does, supporting and challenging each other to constantly think out-of-the-box to come up with the best fit solutions for clients. At the same time, it is all about having fun while working too. No dress code, comfortable workspaces, communal areas for games, exercise and meals, and regular trips and outings. This is also what keeps the teams bonded.

At Deriv, the teams have always been led by the vision of making platforms easily accessible and efficient for our clients, while offering excellence in support through their trading journey. The company believes that this is what will continue to drive Deriv’s growth as a truly global entity.
