World’s first immersive rockstar experience launches crowdfunder with help from Mayor of London

WeJam lets groups of friends form a band, perform their favourite tunes, and enjoy the rockstar experience – even if they’ve never played an instrument before.

Online PR News – 04-December-2020 – London, UK – WeJam, the world’s first immersive rock-star experience, launches its first crowdfunding campaign.
The music technology company offers groups of up to six friends or colleagues the opportunity to start their own band, led by a professional musician in a London recording studio.

Suitable for all ages and experience levels, customers can play their favourite songs from a catalogue of over 50 titles and counting, and learn to master licks and riffs on the guitar, bass, keyboard or drums.

WeJam’s proprietary technology uses tablet devices and colour coded graphics to guide beginners which notes to play at the right time. More experienced musicians can opt for traditional notation instead.

To make things even easier for beginners, WeJam’s team of songwriters have developed simplified versions of the most popular tunes, meaning novices will only have to play one note at a time. Successfully playing these pared-down parts will unlock and trigger the more complicated original note combinations.

Experienced musicians can also play in ‘freestyle’ mode – with no computer assistance, meaning groups of mixed ability can jam together at their own level.

WeJam uses carefully chosen recording studios across London, offering state-of-the-art technology and classic rockstar instruments from names such as Fender, Yamaha and more.

David Tshulak, CEO and founder of WeJam commented: “WeJam is like Guitar Hero on steroids. We’re offering a window into a unique world that until now has only been experienced by professional musicians and recording label executives. If you’ve ever enjoyed Karaoke or Escape Rooms then you’ll love this music-based activity. This is the perfect evening out (or gift) for music enthusiasts who always wanted a taste of the rockstar lifestyle (without the drugs). And with people having more time to indulge their hobbies during lockdown, this is a chance to indulge your inner Hendrix in a Covid-safe environment”.

The crowdfunding campaign which went live today at, will see half of its proceeds matched by the Mayor of London. Customers who pre-book now can get over 50% off the normal price by pledging their support in December.

David Tshulak, founder of WeJam, is a lifelong musician, former TV producer and alumnus of London Business School. The idea for WeJam came to him whilst living in Tokyo and experiencing the futuristic karaoke chains and gaming arcades. Before starting WeJam he provided consultancy to the Lucky Voice karaoke brand, and advised Boxpark on the launch of its VR and Axe Throwing ventures.
