Scrap metal company helps charity get ‘souped up’

Gordon Grove Metal Company pledges to support homeless charity Brixton Soup Kitchen

Online PR News – 04-December-2020 – London, UK – Gordon Grove Metal Company today announced their charity of the month as Brixton Soup Kitchen. This decision was led by Craig Barnaby.

“Brixton Soup Kitchen is a charity local to us that supports the homeless. After the events of this year, it is so important that everybody gets the chance to have a good Christmas. There will be more people than ever before that need our support this Christmas. We have chosen BSK for December and pledged to deliver food and essential goods in time for the Christmas period,” Says Craig Barnaby, Managing Director at Gordon Grove Metal Company.

Gordon Grove Metal Company will use a percentage of the proceeds from every car scrapped throughout December via ggmc.co.uk and scrapping-acar.co.uk to donate to Brixton Soup Kitchen. Areas that the company will focus the donations on are:

• Food
• Essential items
• Christmas themed gifts

Gordon Grove Metal Company run a ‘donate my car’ scheme where customers can choose to donate some or all of the proceeds to their chosen charity. In November 2020, they introduced a charity of the month scheme to run alongside this. This scheme sees their chosen charity of the month receive a portion of the proceeds from every car scrapped as a donation.

Brixton Soup Kitchen provides food and a safe place to the homeless, the kitchen now feeds as many as 80 people per day. BSK also offers a free clothes bank with changing and hygiene facilities for those in need and a range of other services including counselling, mentoring, IT and CV building to name but a few.
