Online PR News – 06-November-2020 – Houston TX – The Author Encounter is expanding it’s benefits and offerings. The company announced today its plans for a new series, “Behind the Page,” which will feature timely discussions between Bethany Averie and Publishing Industry Professionals such as Editors, Agents and Publishers across a range of publishing industry specific topics. Each episode will include background about the person being interviewed and their career interests; while focusing the conversations on information to help authors. The series, which will be available live for all, will begin on November 13 at 6 PM Central with an episode titled “Interview with Agent Hannah VanVels,” which will see Bethany and literary agent Hannah Van Vel talking and answering industry questions.
This episode will then be followed by an interview with Screenwriter, Film Producer, and host of “The Screenwriting Life with Meg LeFauve and Lorien McKenna,” Interview with Meg LeFauve on December 4. Bethany will also converse with the owner of Sew Vanes Boutique and bestselling author Victoria Vane later in the series. The show’s format will include Bethany talking with guests, but will also include audience participation through short Q&A sessions. This is only one component of the benefits and offers from The Author Encounter. The Author Encounter Launched it's professional development series, in september with its first professionally focused workshop entitled “Done by Christmas: the making of an Audiobook”.
Another is hosting events such as The 5th annual Indie Authors Day, an event each year, where libraries and organizations around the world welcome local indie authors, writers, and their communities in for a day of education, networking, mingling, writing, open mics, panels, and so much more! Bethany’s new interview series is just the beginning of the benefits and offerings The Author Encounter hopes to bring to Authors and readers. Bethany’s interview series, for example, was born from the need for authors to be able to network and grow professionally in the wake of covid. As the publishing industry quickly changes, in response to health crises and economic pressures, The Author Encounter hopes to come up with new and innovative ways to help authors grow and gain visibility. While The Author Encounter is free for published authors, all workshops and events both free and paid require registration, “Behind the pages” will debut exclusively for those who register on Friday, November 13,2020 The Author Encounter says. After the live presentation the episode will be available only to The Author Encounter members on demand on their website. This Interview with Agent Hannah VanVels is free but not all interviews in the series will be.
