Contemporary Sleepwear Inspired by the Imaginations of Creators with Autism, Launches on Kickstarter

Alivia, a womenswear brand making clothing inspired by expressions of creators with disabilities, introduces a sleepwear capsule to supporters on Kickstarter.

Online PR News – 26-October-2020 – New York City, New York – Alivia, the New York-based contemporary womenswear brand making radiant clothing inspired by the expressions of creators with disabilities, introduces a limited-edition sleepwear collection exclusively available to early supporters on Kickstarter.

The Alivia sleepwear collection features an incredibly comfortable set of pajamas and a shorts-tee combo made from sustainable bamboo fibers—all begun by transforming the artwork created by people with disabilities’ into vibrant prints and cozy silhouettes for sleepwear worth staying home for.

By putting creators with disabilities at the beginning stages of the fashion design process, Alivia provides them with an outlet for expression, creativity, and awareness while evoking dreamy imaginative prints and bold colorways. As with all Alivia products, ten percent of every order goes directly back to the creators’ local nonprofits for continued art therapy.

As a bonus to early supporters, Alivia is also offering a limited-run embroidered sweatshirt, perfect for lounging or Zooming, proudly manufactured by Alivia’s partner Spectrum Designs, a nonprofit factory employing people with disabilities. Alivia’s pajamas and shorts-tee combo are produced in New York City.

These pajamas come to life with a crowdfunding goal of $15,000 from early supporters to begin production at minimum manufacturing thresholds with products shipped to backers by February 2021.

Alivia reimagines pajamas with an approach based on three fundamental principles:

-Unbelievable softness — natural bamboo fibers lay softly on the skin, stay cool, and are lightweight.
-Radiant expression — prints rich in color with vivid brushstroke details to brighten any room.
-Meaningful impact — a 10% direct give-back model, impact you can see, and sustainable materials.

Both the pajamas and short-tee combo come in six vibrant print choices, each one more dreamy and colorful than the next. Pajamas start at just $160 for the earliest backers, shorts at $125. Supporters also have the option for their pajamas to include adaptive enclosures for those with mobility challenges, or have adaptive pajamas donated to someone with a disability in partnership with Runway of Dreams™.

“We’re beyond thrilled to offer sleepwear with a purpose—pajamas that help us sleep well at night in comfort and with a positive conscience,” said Jovana Mullins, co-founder and CCO of Alivia. “The ability for our customers to enjoy and showcase the unique talents and creativity of people with disabilities drives the mission behind Alivia. Together, we can inspire deeper connections to the clothes we wear and their impact.”
