The Yani Tseng Invitational AJGA Golf Tournament commenced from Sunday June 29th to Monday, June 30th. The event hosted the top 72 female junior golfers ages 12-18 from around the world. It was a 54 stroke play championship, and was a great time for spectators and participants.

The Yani Tseng Invitational was created by LPGA global star Yani Tseng. He stated “I first came to the United States when I was 12 to play in the Junior World Championships in San Diego and subsequently in many others USGA and amateur championships, so I really benefited from participating in American junior golf.” Tseng also believes that the “AJGA is the best organization to bring players together and for me to host such a prestigious AJGA invitational, where I played much of my junior golf makes it very special. I’m excited to partner with Swinging Skirts to open a door for international junior golfers to compete at the highest level.” -
The Swinging Skirts Foundation is a non-profit based in Taiwan whose male and female members both love golf. Most compete in a kilt or a skirt on the golf course and help to promote the international alliance of the game. Besides the Yani Tseng Invitational, the Swinging Skirts Foundation also helps to conduct the “Dream-Chasing cup” throughout northern, southern and central Taiwan.
Johnson Wang, chairman of the Swinging Skirts Golf Foundation stated “With the help of Yani's immense popularity and the tremendous support of the AJGA, it is our hope to get more young people to take up the sport and truly showcase how global the game has become.”
