Premier Key West scuba diving center now offering referral dives which allow novice divers to do half of their certification work at home then finish it off in Key West

Online PR News – 24-August-2009 – – In an order to make Key West scuba diving more accessible to Key West visitors, the Key West Dive Center will now begin offering Check Out Referral Dives that allow you to start your scuba certification in your hometown and complete the second half of the certification in sunny Key West Florida.

The dive masters and employees at the Key West Dive Center recognize that Key West visitors might not have a full three or four days to complete an entire Key West scuba diving certification course. The course normally consists of book work, pool work, and four guided dives. With the new Check Out Referral Dives, Key West scuba diving hopefuls will be able to complete the first two phases of their certification course at a dive shop in their home town. This includes the preliminary book work and quizzes that can be done online and the initial scuba diving instruction done in a pool setting with a dive instructor.

When these divers then arrive in Key West, they can complete their final four dives in the unparalleled settings of Key West diving. Located just a couple miles off the coast of Key West is one of the country's most diverse and dense underwater coral reef ecosystems. Divers from around the world come to the country's southernmost island in order to experience the world of Key West scuba diving. Hundreds of marine species, including all kinds of reef fish, various species of rays, lobster, and dolphins, make their home among or near the coral reef gardens of Key West.

"The referral dives will let more people experience the unique type of diving found in Key West. They can get their Key West diving certification in just two days and go on four different scuba dives in the coral reef gardens," says Key West Dive Center employee Jessica Gardner.

"This is great for those of us who can only spend a few days a year in Key West," says Jeffrey Long who has been coming to Key West for diving trips for almost ten years. "I can definitely convince more of my friends to actually get certified down in Key West now that they can do it in two days."

The Key West Dive Center operates a variety of Key West tours and activities in addition to their Key West diving trips including Key West snorkeling adventures and dolphin excursions.
